Kauai Wedding Ceremony - Electric Sunset

One of the questions I get often from my couples is the best time to schedule their ceremony.  While a morning ceremony can be refreshing and fun (that way you have all day to enjoy being married), sunset on Kauai is an all-time favorite.

I often will suggest a general time, and then let the couple refine the details with their photographer.  This incredible photo below was taken by Keani Andrade.  We met at the Hanalei Pier at 6:00 for the ceremony and then an hour later, this is what showed up in the sky.  A wedding to remember.

Kauai Wedding Minister Larry LaSota has some Advice for the Bridal Processional

Hanalei Bay Resort is one of my favorite spots for weddings.  The long hill (Wedding Walk) that some brides choose to walk down to make their dramatic entrance is unique to this location.  The bridesmaids in the photo below enjoyed every step!

You can see the bride and her father at the very top in the first photo.  Next photo is when they round the bend and approach the ceremony site.  After the ceremony, the bridesmaids (Wedding Angels) had fun with the bride and then the groom.

My wife, Elaine, who works with Deanna Schafer of "I Do" Weddings, always reminds the bridesmaids to carry their bouquets down low, and not higher up, as the first bridesmaid is doing.  Looks much better for the photos!

Kauai Wedding Minister says to Relax!

Over many years of being a wedding minister, I have learned how to help couples be relaxed and to experience their ceremony with an open and joyful heart.  The moment of your wedding can and should be one of the greatest moments of your life.

Here is a good example of a relaxed couple having a really good time at their wedding!  This photo is also on the Home page of my website, but I never tire of looking at it.

Kauai Wedding Minister - Smiles on faces

Kauai Wedding Minister, Larry LaSota, has the best job in the world.  "Every couple is unique and so each ceremony is unique.  As I see your individual personalities and the energy and love that you bring to the moment, I allow the ceremony to unfold accordingly.  Just look at the joy on these faces!"

Kauai Wedding Minister Sunset Wedding at Princeville Beach on Hanalei Bay

Kauai Wedding Minister Larry LaSota had a great time with Silvia and Robert at their sunset wedding on Princeville Beach at Hanalei Bay, which is about as iconic as it gets.  You may have read my post about a morning wedding on Hanalei Bay, but it is hard to beat this.  You can see the famous "Bali Hai" (better known as Makana, which means "gift") peaking between Silvia and Robert's upraised arms.  This was a joyous moment for Larry's wedding couple.

Kauai Wedding Minister performs Sand Ceremony

Kauai weddings can include a joyful joining of two families into one.  The Sand Ceremony is one of the most wonderful Hawaiian elements that I perform, as other family members can be invited to be part of it.

Kauai Wedding Minister's Hanalei Bay for an Early Morning Wedding

Kauai Wedding Minister, Larry LaSota enjoyed a Hanalei Bay wedding early this morning.  "Although sunset time is popular for ceremonies, I find that couples who chose to get married in the morning really appreciate that they can then enjoy being married all day, instead of (perhaps) worrying about the wedding (and even not seeing each other) all day until late afternoon.

While these photos are not of the wedding, these are two of my favorite shots of Hanalei Bay in the morning.  Enjoy!"
